Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Condition for the rental pocket wifi services offered through the website of Rentalwifi Co., Ltd ( https://www.rentalwifi.com/ ) form the rental agreement between you and Rentalwifi Co., Ltd ("Company"). This rental agreement ("agreement") is a contract between you and Company, and cover all rentals made pursuant to this Website.

Please read this agreement, the rental rates, details, and all other applicable information, terms and conditions set forth before submitting a reservation request. If you disagree with any of the terms and conditions, you should not accept this agreement. This agreement starts when you submit an online reservation through the Website.

Nature of Services

  • Company provides a wireless modem rental service, along with user guides and accessories (collectively the "Equipment") to travelers to Japan. We do not offer Equipment for sale on this Website.

Eligibility

  • While our Equipment may be used by travelers of any age, we can only rent to traveler who are at least 18 years of age, on the condition that they fully agree the Terms & Conditions set forth in this agreement.

Use of Equipment

  • All equipment must be used only for legitimate and legal purposes.
  • You are not permitted to sub-lease or lend the use of the equipment, even on a temporary basis, to third parties, for whatever purpose or reason.
  • Any kind of modifications/repairs/damage to all the equipment is prohibited. The customer will be fully responsible for all the cost incurred to replace a new equipment if any of aforesaid is done.
  • The customer agrees to use the equipment with reasonable care and use it properly.

Delivery

  • The equipment will be delivered to the designated delivery address which you have submitted in the online reservation form. We will not be liable in any case that you fail to receive it when it has been delivered to the right address. No refund of the rental charges will be available.
  • And we agree that we will fully trust the tracking system's confirmation of delivery completion as claimed by the respective delivery/logistic company.
  • You will have to verify if the equipment delivered is working in good condition. Any problem should be reported within 1 day counting from the pickup date of the equipment or you shall deemed acceptance of good condition of the equipment.

Return

  • The equipment returns should be made no later than the agreed return date you have submitted in the online reservation form. This can be verified by the respective delivery/logistic company's tracking system or the postmark of the return package.
  • Rental Extension application need to be made at least 3 days (72 hours) before the rental expiry date, or the extension of rental will not be available and you will be required to return the rental items as per the agreed rental period.
  • Late charges will be levied at a rate of 1,000 yen/day, and will be deducted from the refundable deposit.
  • Any equipment remain unreturned for more than one week (7 days) will be deemed to be unreturned and the customer is required to pay the charges as set forth in the section "Loss/Damage of equipment" in this agreement.
  • The Customer is responsible to return the Equipment in good working order and condition, or charges might be occurred.

Late charges

  • A Late charges of 1,000 yen/day will be levied should one fail to return the equipment as agreed.
  • his is not applicable for the approved rental extension which will be in a much lower rate. Should you want to extend the rental period, please ensure your application is sent at least 3 day (72 hours) before the rental expiry date and we will approve the extension according to the inventory status.

Loss & Damage of equipment

  • Any Loss and Damage of the equipment must be reported to Rentalwifi Co., Ltd company immediately by email info@rentalwifi.com or you can simply contact us by filling the form Contact Us We can arrange delivery of a new item to you, subject to the stock inventory.
  • The customer will be responsible for the following charges for Loss & Damage of equipment : Wireless Wifi modem: JPY20,000 SIM Card: JPY2,500 AC adaptor: JPY1,000 USB Cable: JPY1,000 Pouch: JPY1,000
  • Should any equipment which remain non return one week (7 days) after the expiry of rental period. It is deemed to be "Loss of Equipment".

Insurance on damage & loss

  • Insurance on equipment is available as an optional item.
  • This insurance can cover 50% of charges which occurred during the lost/damage of the rental wifi modem. (i.e. the charges that you will need to pay will become 10,000 yen instead of 20,000 yen).
  • (Other than the wireless Wifi modem, all other equipment will be excluded in our insurance plan)

Payment condition & method

  • The Customer authorizes Rentalwifi Co., Ltd to process all transactions made on https://www.rentalwifi.com/ website through PayPal Inc., and , where required, bills the Customer's credit card for any charages applicable in accordance to the Terms set forth in "Loss & Damage of equipment" in this agreement.

Cancellations and Refund

  • If reservation is cancelled within seven (7) days prior to the pickup date, JPY1,000 will be charged. No cancellation fee will be charged if it is cancelled eight days or more before the pickup date.
  • Upon the delivery of equipment, the customer agrees that no refunds will be provided unless the equipment can be demonstrated to be inoperable. The network coverage of the wireless network cannot be guaranteed at every location in Japan.
  • Any refund will be handled within 3 days from the day we received the cancellation request via email, the refund will be paid as soon as is practicable to the customer through the PayPal, Inc.

Rental Period

  • The rental period commences on your your pickup date and expires at 23:59 JST on your return date as stated in the submitted online reservation form.

Extention of Rental Period

  • Rental Extension application need to be made at least 3 days (72 hours) before the rental expiry date, or the extension of rental will not be available and you will be required to return the rental items as per the agreed rental period.
  • Rental period can be extended. Simply drop us an email or by filling the Contact us form in our site. We will try our best to accommodate your requirement depending on the inventory situation.

Indeminifation

  • By agreeing to this Rental Agreement, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Company, our officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, representatives, agents, and other customers against any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, or expense, including but not limited to reasonable attorney's fees, in any way connected with (a) a breach of the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement; and (b) any dispute between you and any third party service, which you engaged through our user guide.

Governing Law

  • This Terms of Use is governed by Japan Law and all disputes shall be filed and proceeded according to Japan legal system.
